Scott Leritz

PGA Head Golf Professional


Scott Leritz graduated from Oregon State University and was a letter winner on their men's golf team. In 1999, Scott obtained his PGA membership and held previous head professional positions at The Oregon Golf Club and Indian Summer G&CC.

He was winner of the Albertson's Northwest Team Championship, Oregon Stroke Play Championship, Oregon Pro-Assistant's Championship along with numerous top 5 finishes in Section Major Tournaments.

Scott's experience allows him to teach players of all levels including juniors, ladies, men and accomplished players.

Nick Plamp

PGA Assistant Golf Professional


Nick Plamp has been a part of Royal Oaks his whole life. His family were members for 15 years and Royal Oaks is where he found his passion for golf.

Nick has been a PGA Professional since 2003 and is a graduate of San Diego Golf Academy. He advises his students to establish a clear understanding of the fundamentals. Teaches them to practice correctly with smaller achievable goals to help build confidence and keep the game fun. Nick is proficient in all club fitting aspects and using technology to help his students. Nick has experience teaching players of all levels.

John Buck

Assistant PGA Professional


PGA Professional John Buck has been with Royal Oaks for 22 years. The first ten years of his career he worked in various capacities at the Resort at the Mountain. He followed that with stops as the Head Professional at Fairmont Hots Springs (MT), Fairway Village and Club Green Meadows. He has experience as a rules official at several PNW PGA section events. He also has served as the head rules official for the Royal Oaks Invitational and other Royal Oaks held events. In his time away from the golf course John is an avid fly fisherman and snow skier.

Alexis O'Brien, LPGA

Director of Player Development


Alexis played her college golf at the University of New Orleans and earned her bachelor’s degree in Education.  While in college she served as the female swing model for the Golden Tee arcade game.  She became a LPGA Teaching and Club Professional in 2005.  She started out her career at Green Garden Golf Academy as a Teaching Professional and her most famous student was the late celebrity Bernie Mac.  She then spent the next 11 years as a NCAA Division I Head Coach at Chicago State University and Southern Illinois University.  She led the Salukis to an unprecedented 20 team tournament titles with 16 individual champions.  In 2011 she was recognized by her peers as the LPGA Midwest Section Coach of the Year.  While at Southern, she completed her Master’s Degree in Sport Administration.  She married Tommy O’Brien in June 2017, who was a goaltender for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  She is a diehard Chicago sports fan who loves the Bears and Cubbies.  When she isn’t playing golf she like to do cross fit, bikram yoga, and lindy hop.    

Eric Sjogren

Assistant PGA Professional


Eric, born and raised in Vancouver, graduated with a Marketing Degree with an emphasis in Professional Golf Management from the University of Idaho in August, 2017 and was elected to membership of the PGA in October, 2017. The program helped give him opportunities to gain work experience in multiple facilities in all aspects of the golf industry across the United States. He most recently has spent the last three seasons in Bend, Oregon as an Assistant Golf Professional at Bend Golf Club. Eric credits his avid enjoyment of all sports, as well as the multiple role models and mentors golf has given him, to turn his passion of golf into his career. 

Christopher Neef

Assistant Golf Professional


Chris has experienced a lifelong love for the game of golf; sparked at seven years of age, by his Grandfather's enthusiasm for everything golf.  He has been a golf professional for six years, traveling between Bend and Palm Springs. Together these positions have afforded him unique training in both high pace and Country Club environments.   Chris has chosen, at this time, to plant roots and share his enthusiasm and unique perspective for the game, with the Royal Oaks Family.  He is hoping to inspire and grow with the staff, and members, for years to come.

Michael Wilkerson

PGA Teaching Professional


Mike Wilkerson came to Vancouver, WA in 1991 after playing 3 years on the Austrailian PGA Tour. He has been teaching in Vancouver for over 20 years and have given over 10,000 private and group lessons.

Mike's teaching has an emphasis on fundamentals. His strengths is helping his students with their short game - 100 yards and in. He doesn't believe that all swings need to be rebuilt but rather maintaining and adjusting your swing.
